Position Summary
The Director of Building and Grounds is responsible for the overall care, maintenance, and appearance of our church facilities and grounds. This role plays a vital part in supporting the ministry of River Hills by ensuring that every space is ready for people to encounter Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all church facilities and grounds
Coordinate cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance services
Ensure safety and security protocols are consistently followed
Secondary Responsibilities
Manage facility use, scheduling, and room setup needs
Support weekend services and special events with facility preparation
Oversee and coordinate volunteers and outside contractors for maintenance and projects
Expectations
Maintain a high standard of excellence in all areas of facility care
Be present and available for all weekend services and major church events
Work collaboratively with staff and the Operations Team
Take initiative and ownership of projects and ongoing needs
Represent River Hills with professionalism and a positive attitude
Schedule and Commitment
Hourly, Part-Time position
Hours will vary based on facility needs, weekend services, and events
Leadership and Reporting
Reports directly to the Executive Pastor
Participates in 1:1 meetings as needed
Annual performance assessment
