Why is (ex nihlio) creation important?

  • Creation and/or intelligent design are often mocked by evolution-supporting atheists as unscientific and devoid of merit for scientific investigation. They contend that for something to be classified as a “science,” it must possess “naturalistic characteristics.” By definition, creation transcends the rules of the natural universe. The controversy is that since God cannot be subjected to scientific testing, then neither creation nor intelligent design can be regarded as scientific.

So What?

  • From a strictly scientific standpoint to the same extent, both evolution and intelligent design cannot be directly observed or tested. However, it appears that atheistic evolutionists do not consider this to be problematic. Consequently, all data are subjected to the filtering process of naturalism’s preconceived, presupposed, and pre-accepted worldview, without accommodating any alternative explanations.
  • The investigation or firsthand observation of the origin of the universe or life is not possible. Acceptance of both creation and evolution necessitates a degree of faith. It is not possible to travel back in time in order to observe the universe’s or life’s origin. Individuals who vehemently oppose creation do so on the basis of arguments that would logically compel them to also reject evolution.

Now What?

  • A Creator exists, to whom we are answerable. Evolution, in its contemporary form, facilitates an atheistic worldview. Evolution provides atheists an explanation for the development of life apart from a Creator God. Modern theories of evolution therefore function as an alternative “creation story” to the atheistic religion.
  • It is unambiguously clear in the Bible that God is the Creator. Any scientific view that seeks to exclude God’s involvement in the origins of the universe is incompatible with the Bible.
